Do you have puffy eyes that won’t seem to go away? Most of us have experienced puffy eyes at some point in our lives, but what causes them? Here at Kleer Skincare, we break down the different causes of puffy eyes and how to address them for a healthy and happier look.

One of the most frequent causes of puffy eyes is dehydration. Our skin is made up of mostly water, so when we don’t drink enough of it the skin around our eyes becomes dehydrated, resulting in a puffy look. To combat this, ensure that you are drinking enough water each day, and apply a light, hydrating skincare product (wink wink, Kleer product, fingers crossed) such as an eye cream specifically formulated to reduce puffiness.

Another common cause of puffiness is a lack of sleep. Our bodies work best when we get at least 8 hours of sleep each night. When we don’t, not only do we feel fatigued and stressed, but our skin can suffer too. Dark circles, puffy eyes, and wrinkles are all signs of a lack of adequate rest. Try to get a full night’s sleep every night and use a light eye cream to reduce puffiness.

Finally, one of the main causes of puffy eyes is genetics. As individuals, we are all prone to various skin and eye conditions based on our genes. If you are experiencing severe puffiness that doesn’t appear to be linked to the causes listed above, you may want to consult with a doctor or dermatologist.

At Kleer Skincare, we believe that skincare should be customized to each individual. That’s why you can find a range of natural and gentle products specifically formulated for all skin types and tones. Our vegan, cruelty-free formulas are designed to help nurture even the most sensitive skin for a fresh and healthy look.

With the right skincare routine and lifestyle habits, you can reduce and prevent puffy eyes and enjoy a brighter, happier look!

Modern skincare should actually…care. About sustainability, inclusivity, and compassion. About the ingredients it uses and the partners it chooses.
